Had a blast surfing the Glenwood wave this past weekend at 15-16k. It was much better than it was the prior weekend at 9-12k, and though things got busy as the morning went on it was certainly worth the trip. Though I love the speed of River Run Park, there is something special about surfing a big shoulder-high wave face. Though I was on the Poquito and it did well, there were plenty of good rides to be had on traditional shortboards. You don’t need a ton of rocker given the wide trough of the wave, though it helps to handle some of the surges. Something like this fish, maybe with a touch more nose rocker, would be a blast.
