A couple of quick announcements about the Eagle whitewater park. Rivers are on the rise, and the new Eagle River Whitewater Park has a couple of events on tap. The first is the ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 26, and a race and freestyle series that is planned for Tuesdays from June 11 through July 9.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Eagle park holds up to the spring flows; low flow looks to produce more holes than waves in the park, but hopefully things will green up for surfers soon.
